This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from Pjbassbooks.com (the “Site”).

You may give us information such as your email address so we can send you newsletters and other communications you request. Details of how you can opt-out of receiving any communications from us are at the bottom of every email correspondence to unsubscribe.

The blog posting sections of the Site give you an opportunity to voluntarily provide us with information regarding your opinions and reviews. In addition, the content you post and recommendations you make may provide information about your beliefs to us. If you choose to post such information, you acknowledge and agree that such information will be viewable by us and other users of the Site.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

 

MOBILE INFORMATION:
We may collect additional information from you if you access our Site through a mobile device (e.g. your unique device identifier, device’s operating system, mobile carrier, general location, or with your consent, your precise GPS/geo-location).

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you; Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.   We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. LEGAL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT:

In such events, we will only disclose information relevant and necessary to the investigation or inquiry, such as name, city, state, zip code, telephone number, email address, user ID history, IP address, fraud complaints, and anything else we may deem relevant to the investigation.

 

BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING:

PJBASSBOOKS does not currently take action to respond to Do Not Track signals because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed. We continue to review new technologies and may adopt a standard once one is created.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

MINORS

The Site is a general audience site and it is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect “personal information” (as defined by the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act or “COPPA”) on our Site.

(a) If you are a California resident, California law requires us to provide you with some additional information regarding the “personal information” (as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”))  PJBBASSOOKS collect from and about you, and your rights with respect to your personal information.

(b) How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals for California Residents: California Business & Professions Code Section 22575(b) provides that California residents are entitled to know how PJBASSBOOKS responds to "Do Not Track" browser settings. PJBASSBOOKS does not currently take action to respond to Do Not Track signals because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed. Under Nevada law, Nevada residents who have purchased goods or services from us may opt-out of the “sale” of “covered information” (as such terms are defined under Nevada law) for monetary consideration to a person for that person to license or sell such information to additional persons. PJBASSBOOKS does not engage in such “sales” of “covered information,” but if it were to do so in the future, a Nevada resident who has purchased goods or services from us would have the right to submit a request to opt-out of future “sales” activity emailing us at pjbassbooks@gmail.com. Please note we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and the authenticity of the request.

This Privacy Notice for California residents supplements the PJBASSBOOKS Privacy Policy. This Notice applies to website visitors, app users, and customers in California. This Notice gives California residents additional information about our information collection and use practices required by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), and also provides California residents with specific privacy rights.

California Information & Deletion Rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA allows you to make certain requests about your personal information. Specifically, the CCPA allows you to request us to:
